**Deer Lake is proud to host the Connecticut Burns Care Foundation Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp for a second year. Deer Lake will be closed to the public July 20-28 to provide a safe outdoor environment for children from around the world who have survived life-altering burn injuries. Deer Lake is an ideal location to provide an inclusive and accepting space to allow every kid to just be a kid.

Why is it scheduled in the middle of Deer Lake Day Camp summer programs?
We looked at historic registration data to select the week that would best support our Deer Lake Day Camp families while also meeting the needs of the Burn Camp. Most of these campers have had, and continue to need, multiple life-changing surgeries. Camp dates were selected to work around these surgeries and allow enough recovery time so campers can be ready for school in the fall. We hope you will join us in welcoming and sharing a piece of Deer Lake magic with these exceptional children.
